Additional Solicitor General Sarath Jayamanne P.C. assumed duties as the Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegation of Bribery corruption today.
The appointment was made by President Maithripala Sirisena. Jayamanne who participated in the UNHCR session in Geneva with the Attorney General returned to the country on November 20. Jayamanne who has a record of 25 years of service at the Attorney General's Department has also served as an Appeal Court Judge in FIJI.
