Nushad Perera was appointed as the Chairman of state-owned retailer Lanka Sathosa yesterday (Jan 2).
Perera holds the experience of serving as a senior manager at a leading private telecommunication service provider in the country.
Meanwhile, Professor Sampath Amaratunga has been appointed as the Chairman of the Unviersity Grants Commission.
Prof. Amaratunga currently serves as the Vice Chancellor of the Sri Jayawardanapura University.
