A new list of names have been sent to the Public Services Commission (PSC) to fill in vacancies for the post of Principals at national schools, Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariywasam said.
The Ministry of Education had taken measures to prepare a new list of names after the initial list was cancelled by the PSC citing certain issues in the selection criteria.
However, the Education Minister alleged that a few long-serving Principal's at certain schools had influenced the PSC to cancel the initial list of appointments.
