The cabinet of ministers has agreed on a proposal submitted by the Child Affairs Ministry to implement a new national policy for child protection.
Previously, the cabinet had instructed that a revised policy be submitted to ensure the protection of the children in future.
Accordingly, the Child Affairs Ministry, in a cabinet paper submitted yesterday (Oct 29), had outlined the new policy upon consultation with the relevant stakeholders.
