New traffic plan between Kandy and Peradeniya

A new traffic plan was launched from Kandy to Peradeniya today (Mar 04), police said.

Vehicles travelling from Peradeniya to Kandy will have to use the Old Kandy road while vehicles travelling otherwise will have to travel via the New Kandy Road.

Accordingly, both roads which had been functioning as two-way roads would facilitate only one-way for transportation.

Measures were taken to launch the new traffic plan in a bid to curb traffic congestion, police said.
