Oshada Senanayake took office as the Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) today (Nov 21).
Upon assuming duties, Senanayake highlighted the importance of introducing 5G technology in the country to implement the 'Smart Sri' concept.
He said President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has understood that the country cannot move forward along with other countries without advancing in technology.
Accordingly, the new TRC Director General called on all individuals to support the President in acheiving his goals.
