President Maithripala Sirisena in his special New Year message has said the New Year is a time which provides “an opportunity to learn from the past mistakes and to take correct decisions towards progress”.
The President said the dawn of the New Year is an occasion to recollect our achievements and failures in the previous year.
He also added that we have been able to lift our irrigational achievements to greater heights by reviewing the past.
President Sirisena signed off by wishing everyone a New Year that would bring forth prosperity and joy of life while fulfilling the wishes of the people.
