A Royal New Zealand Air Force transport aircraft with a crew of 15 arrived at the Mattala Airport this morning (9) to enable the crew to rest before flying to their final destination.
The aircraft had taken off from Indonesia and is on its way to Dubai. The plane stopped in Mattala for the crew to rest and for the aircraft to refuel, airport authorities stated.
The crew of the New Zealand Air Force aircraft are due to spend the day today at a hotel in Hambantota before flying off to Dubai tomorrow (10).
