Shammi Silva who was elected as the new President of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has said that he is hopeful of uplifting the standards of Sri Lanka cricket by working together with the Sports Minister and the newly elected office bearers of the SLC.
"This is just another task for me since I have already engaged in team sports as well as single event sports," he told reporters during a press briefing following the elections.
