Nikini Festival at Shri Munnesweram Ishwaran Kovi
The annual Nikini Festival of the Shri Munnesweram Ishwaran Kovil in Chilaw took place last afternoon with the participation of thousands of devotees. A highlight of this year's festival was the presence of a specially constructed chariot to move the statues of the various gods through the streets in a 'Perahera.'
