Nine Indian fishermen who were arrested yesterday by Navy remanded until October 28 by the Point Pedro magistrate. The Point Pedro magistrate K. Kanesarajah also ordered police to seize their vessels. The Indian fishermen from Rameswaram were arrested in Lankan waters for illegal poaching yesterday and produced before the magistrate by the Fisheries Department officials.
