Nine Indian nationals who had remained in Sri Lanka without a valid visa were arrested in Nuwara Eliya yesterday (Feb 08).
The arrest was made yesterday afternoon folllowing a tip-off received by the police, Police Spokesman S.P. Ruwan Gunasekara said.
The suspects have been identified as 24, 28, 29, 32, and 42- year olds.
They were produced before the Nuwara Eliya Magistrates Court yesterday.
