Nine Iranian nationals who were nabbed with 107 kilos of narcotics have been further remanded until July 02.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne had ordered the suspects to be remanded after considering a request made by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) today (Jun 18).
During today's hearing, the PNB requested court to further remand the suspects since investigations on them had not yet concluded. They were instructed to submit the report before court during the next hearing.
The Iranian nationals had been arrested with a massive haul of heroin in Sri Lankan waters in April.
