Nine suspects who were arrested over the recent unruly incidents in Minuwangoda have been remanded until May 29, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said.
The suspects who were arrested last night were produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate's Court under special legal provisions, police said noting that they can only be given bail by the High Court.
Four individuals who were also linked to yesterday's rioting incident in Minuwangoda were arrested this morning. They are yet to be produced before court.
Accordingly, a total of 13 suspects have been arrested over yesterday's riots in Minuwangoda so far.
