Issuing of motor vehicle revenue licenses in Kalutara district has been temporarily halted till October 29, the Information Department said.
This measure has been taken to prevent further spreading of coronavirus in the district. Close to 50 persons from Kalutara district have been infected with the virus with the majority from Matugama. Three villages (Ovitigala, Badugama and Badugama New State) coming under the Matugama Divisional Secretariat have been declared as isolated.
