Measures have been taken to ensure that power will not be interrupted during the Avurudu Season, Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) sources told Times Online.
The decision to refrain from interrupting power supply was taken since most of the people would leave Colombo during this season.
The reduced consumption of power in industries and factories during this period would contribute to maintain the balance in the power system thereby facilitiating the continuous supply of electricity, the CEB source noted.
