The Northern Development Ministry will be re-named as the North-Eastern Development Ministry in future, TNA spokesman M A Sumandiran said yesterday (Jan 15).
He made this remark at a public rally in Valikaamam, Jaffna.
Further, Mr. Sumandiran dismissed allegations which claimed that the TNA voted against the no-confidence motion of Ranil Wickremesinghe with an ulterior motive.
"We voted against the no-confidence motion to restore stability in the country" he said.
He added that several discussions were held at that time in order to determine the party's stance before the vote.
