The Police Commission has made a series of transfers of senior offices including four Deputy Inspector Generals, officials said.
The transfers are as follows;
DIG in Charge of Jaffna M.D.R.S. Daminda has been transfered DIG Prime Ministerial Security Division.
DIG A. Karawita who was in charge of the Prime Ministerial Security Division has been appointed as DIG in charge of the Monaragala Division.
DIG D.J. Palihakkara from the Defence Ministry has been transferred to the Tangalle Division.
DIG Mahesh Senaratne who was in charge of the Research and Development section has been appointed as DIG Jaffna.
Four more SSPs and OICs in charge of Kollupitiya, Bambalapitiya and Katunayake have been transferred to Police Headquarters, Kollupitiya and Bambalapitiya respectively.
