The Colombo District Organiser of the proscribed National Thowheed Jamath (NTJ) group has been further remanded until July 2.
The order was issued by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's court today (Jun 18).
Mohamed Fawaz, the suspect had been arrested by the Keselwatte Police for allegedly propogating extremist content.
The suspect had been previously denied bail since he has been charged under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA). Suspects charged under the PTA can only be granted bail by the Appeal Court.
Meanwhile, police informed court today that the Government Analyst has not submitted reports on certain belongings of the suspect which had been sent for examinations.
