M F Mohamed Fawas - the Colombo District Organiser of the National Thowheed Jamath (NTJ) has been remanded until May 08 by the Colombo Chief Magistrates Court today (May 02).
Mr. Fawas was arrested by the Keselwatte Police over charges of being involved with the members of a radical Islamist group within the country.
During today's hearing, Police told court that the suspect was found to have been in the possession of certain documents and videos relating to the NTJ at the time of his arrest.
Police claimed that the suspect had captured video footage of the explosions which had occured across the country on Easter Sunday.
