The proscribed National Thowheed Jamath (NTJ) group's Colombo district organiser has been further remanded until July 17 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's court today (Jul 2).
Mohamed Fawaz, the suspect had been arrested in the aftermath of the recent terrorist attacks in the country, over charges of propogating extremism by being a member of a terrorist group.
A bail request filed by the suspect had been rejected since charges have been filed under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
During today's hearing, police informed court that the Government Analyst's report on certain possessions recovered from the suspect have not been received yet.
Some videos and documents concerning the proscribed NTJ group had been seized by the Police at the time of his arrest.
According to the Police, the suspect had stored videos concerning the Easter Sunday attacks on his mobile phone.
