One arrested over assault of three persons in Puttalam
An individual has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a group of persons following an accident in Wanathavilluwa, Puttalam yesterday (Nov 17).
Police said the suspect belonged to a group that had attacked the victims at two locations first after an accident, and then when they had arrived at the Puttalam Base Hospital for treatment.
The victims aged between 27 and 36 are currently receiving treatment at the Puttalam Hospital.
The suspect, a 34-year old had been taken into custody along with his vehicle believed to have been involved in the incident. Further investigations are underway.
