One arrested over terrorism related charges in Madatugama

A suspect has been arrested over terrorim-related charges during a raid carried out by the Special Task Force Madatugama.

STF personnel had seized a map believed to be of a school or hotel, 17 blank cartridges and 32 empty bullet shells used in T-56 weapons.

Also seized were parts of a Rocket-propelled grenade (RPG), a mortar (artillery weapon) and parts of other weapons.

The suspect was arrested upon a raid which was set in motion following a tip-off received by the STF Camp in Dambulla.
