A 30-year old man has died following a shooting that took place in Kaldamulla, Mount Lavinia at around 9:20 pm yesterday (Dec 05).
Preliminary investigations by the police have revealed that the shooting was carried out by two unidentified individuals who had arrived on a motorcycle wearing full-face helmets.
According to the police, the victim had succumbed to his injuries upon admission to the Kalubowila hospital.
The body of the victim who has been identified as Lahiru Udara Sandaruwan, a resident of Moratuwa, currently lies at the Kalubowila hospital.
Mt. Lavinia police are conducting further investigations in order to apprehend the suspects.
