One person has been hospitalised following an explosion at a furnace oil shop in Athurugiriya yesterday (Apr 10).
Investigations have revealed that a furnace oil tank at the store had exploded thereby leaving a worker injured.
The fire service unit of the Kotte Muncipal Council had taken measures to douse the fire.
The victim is currently being treated at the Colombo General Hospital.
