One killed over personal dispute in Nivithigala

A person has died after being attacked by a sharp weapon over a personal dispute in Nivithigala yesterday (Sept 26).

Police said a dispute had arisen between both persons after the victim had engaged in a relationship with the attacker's daughter.

The victim, Sanjaya Sandaruwan, 27, had died after being admitted to the Nivithigala hospital.

Police have launched an operation to arrest the suspect involved in the killing.

Further investigations continue.
