One nabbed while attempting to smuggle gold to India

News

An individual who attempted to smuggle gold to India was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday (Oct 28).

Security officers had seized 1.1 kilos of gold from the suspect who was expected to board his flight at 5:10 pm.

The suspect has been handed over to the Customs Department unit at the airport for further investigations.
