Oral submissions in a case against former deputy minister Ranjan Ramanayake will begin on February 26, 2020, the Supreme Court ordered today (Dec 4).
Ramanayake has been charged with contempt of court for allegedly making derogatory remarks on the judiciary during a television programme last year.
Oral submissions were scheduled to begin today, but had been postponed after Judge Prasanna Jayawardena was not present during today's session.
Justices Sisira de Abrew and Vijith Malalgoda are also among the judges who make-up the three-member judge bench hearing the case.
