The Government has so far repatriated over 9850 Sri Lankans who have been stranded in 38 countries owing to COVID-19.
According to information provided to Cabinet by the Ministry of Foreign Relations, 52, 401 Sri Lankans in 117 countries have made requests to return to Sri Lanka by June 16, 2020.
The Task Force on COVID-19, together with the Presidential Secretariat, has repatriated over 9850 Sri Lankans from 38 countries so far.
Ten flights have also been arranged from June 24 to July 7 to repatriate Sri Lankans from 10 other countries.
