Over five grams of Kerala cannabis have been discovered in a car belonging to Actor Ryan Van Rooyen in Mirissa yesterday (Feb 08).
The vehicle was seized by the police at a tourist resort owned by Amila Prasanga Hettiarachchi alias ’Suranji Sudda’ who has also been arrested along with the actor and drug kingpin ‘Makandure Madush’ in Dubai.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the actor had stayed with ‘Suranji Sudda’ at the hotel two days prior to leaving for Dubai.
An individual who has been identified as the brother of ‘Suranji Sudda’ had told police that the vehicle was used by the actor.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Weligama Police.
