Parliament begins: No-confidence against Ravi K. presented

Parliamentary proceedings, which had been suspended yesterday due to a fault in the microphone system, recommenced this morning. 

MP Dinesh Gunawardena, representing the Joint Opposition, presented the motion of no-confidence against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake a short while ago. The motion was due to be taken up for debate yesterday but had to be postponed till today due to the malfunction of the microphone system. 

The debate on the motion is currently taking place.
