Parliament will convene today at 1 p.m for its first sitting since the swearing in of the new President Maithripala Sirisena. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will address the house. The newly appointed Leader of the House, Chief Government Whip and the Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala De Silva will also address the House.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
