Parliament sittings were adjourned till 3pm by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena a short while ago.
Parliament will reconvene for a ceremonial sitting at 3pm when President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will deliver the Statement of Government Policy.
The Speaker also announced that a Party Leaders' Meeting will take place to decide on the agenda for tomorrow's (21) Parliament sessions.
The inaugural session of the Ninth Parliament commenced at 9.30am today, with Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena being appointed Speaker while Ranjith Siyambalapitiya was appointed Deputy Speaker. Angajan Ramanathan was elected Deputy Chairperson of Committees.
