The Election Commission (EC) has unanimously decided to hold the 2020 Parliamentary Election on August 5.
The decision was taken at the EC's meeting held today.
The election was earlier scheduled to be held on April 25 but was pushed back to June 20 owing to the outbreak of COVID-19. The EC later stated that this too was not possible due to COVID-19.
