The time period to use service identity cards as curfew passes for those engaged in essential services has been extended till April 30, Police Headquarters stated.
Employees of public and private sector essential services, including ports, shipping companies, Customs, Immigration and Emigration Department, health, sector, petroleum services, telecommunications, electricity and water supply, agricultural, SLTB, Railway Service, Treasury, Central Bank, state and private banks as well as the media had earlier been granted permission to use their service ID cards as curfew passes until April 10. This has now been extended up to April 30.
