Public Health Inspector (PHI)s of the Colombo Municipal Council have sealed 21 eateries for selling unhygienic food this week.
A series of raids carried out by PHIs in line with the Avurudu Season saw 2821 cases filed against hotel owners for selling unhygienically prepared food.
PHI officers had raided a total of 10,800 eateries this week and have also issued red alerts to 616 food outlets.
These special raids will be carried out until the conclusion of the Avurudu Season.
