Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has assured private sector workers that he would discuss their wage hike demand following a meeting between the PM and the Employers Federation of Ceylon (EFC). Union leader Anton Marcus speaking on the sidelines of a protest rally at Muttiah Park in Colombo on Thursday said they had received an assurance from Mr. Wickremesinghe earlier in the morning for a meeting to discuss the trade unions’ issues.
