Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday undertook an inspection tour of the Colombo Port City to observe progress on construction work.
Construction work on three towers with 60 floors will be built totalling an investment of USD 1000 million will begin at the Port City this year. New laws which will apply to the city's administration will be drafted in March and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) will be conducted in May, officials informed the PM.
Megapolis and Western Development Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka, State Minister of Finance Eran Wickramaratne and Deputy Minister of National Policies & Economic Affairs Dr Harsha De Silva were among those who accompanied the Prime Minister on his visit.
