Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will leave the island today to attend the 46th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Prime minister office said.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe has been invited to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2016 from 20 - 23 January 2016 with the participation of over 40 heads of state and 2500 economists. This is the first time that a Sri Lankan political leader has been invited to attend the Davos meeting.
Ministers Ravi Karunanayake and Malik Samarawickrema will accompany the Prime Minister in this tour. Sri Lanka will also hold a roadshow in Davos, from January 19-23, alongside the WEF annual meeting, Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said last month.
