While Speaker Karu Jayasuriya is scheduled to meet with President Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe remains hopeful that it will augur well for the reconvening of Parliament.
Taking to his official Twitter handle the Prime Minister said " President Sirisena is due to meet with the Speaker this evening. We trust that this is an indication that Parliament will be reconvened soon."
