Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in an interview with WION NEWS said the current political crisis was hurting the peoples' right to franchise.
Mr Wickremesinghe said the President as been giving different explanations at different times, adding that he has not had a good relationship with the UNP for the last couple of months. He said perhaps it could be a requirement to contest a second time as President.
Mr Wickremesinghe said he was confident that at a floor test there would be more than 113 that would support his bid as Prime Minister.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
