Dept for Registration of Persons suspends operations

All public services at the Department for Registration of Persons, including the head office and branch offices have been suspended from tomorrow (march 27, 2026) until further notice due to a system breakdown.

The decision of suspension of public services was taken due to a complete system breakdown which caused the department’s digital operations out of action.

The breakdown occurred two days back and disrupted service of the Department.

Public were severely inconvenienced due to the breakdown with some of them who had arrived from outstations at the head office being turned away.
