The Prime Minister's Office has refuted claims that PM Ranil Wickramasinghe asked IGP Pujitha Jayasundera to step down from his post.
The government information department issued a statement in this regard.
Meanwhile, Law and Order Deputy Minister Nalin Bandara told Parliament that investigations will be launched to inquire into allegations against IGP Pujitha Jayasundara.
