An individual was arrested by Fort Police today (May 1) for being in possession of drugs popularly used in nightclubs.
Following a tipoff the Police who arrested the individual carried out a search operation at the individuals' Colombo 13 apartment where they found a number hallucinogens and party drugs.
In total 64,000 tablets were seized among them included 12, 910 tremadol tablets and 1,615 abortion pills.
Police believe the suspect was operating an illegal business from the apartment where such drugs are believed to have been supplied to various night clubs.
