Police Commission Chairman resigns
Chairman of the National Police Commission, Prof Siri Hettige has tendered his resignation from his post. It is understood that Prof. Hettige has resigned as he intends to take up a teaching commitment overseas.
However, he will continue to remain a member of the Police Commission. Prof. Hettige was appointed as Chairman of the National Police Commission in October, 2015.
