The bomb disposal unit of the security forces has confirmed that the suspicious package which was found at the Kollupitiya Railroad Station is not an explosive device.
Previously the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team of the Air Force was deployed to clear the Fort Railway station this morning as part of ongoing security measures.
Meanwhile, the US Embassy in its Twitter handle while confirming that the package was not an explosive device called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to authorities immediately.
