A police constable has passed away during an Avurudu Celebration event organised by the Agunukolapelassa police today (Apr 12).
It is reported that the constable had fallen sick after he had become over excited upon winning a musical chairs contest.
The constable, 40-year old M. Sanjeewa, had died while being taken to the hospital, hospital sources said.
The deceased is a father of three.
