Police have launched a search operation to apprehend two suspects who had escaped custody from the Kosgama Police Station on Saturday (Apr 06).
The two suspects were placed inside the police cell after they were arrested with just over one gram of heroin, police said.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects had escaped the cell last night.
The two individuals have been identified as brothers who are residents of Puwakpitiya, Galkande.
