Police personnel have been deployed for security at the Department of Government Printing following a brawl which had taken place between employees and security officers yesterday (Apr 09).
"Temporarily work has been stopped in several sections since the head of the institution has failed to take proper action with regard to this incident," Convenor of the Government Printers Trade Union Collective, Sarath Lal said.
However, Government Printer, Gangani Kalpana Liyanage noted that measures were taken to resolve this issue and that the situation had returned to normalcy.
