Police today sought the assistance of the public to apprehend a man who defrauded a woman of
Rs 1.8 million after promising to marry her.
Police released a photograph of the suspect and identified him as Chakrawathi Gamini Silva from Hipankanda, Nawadagala, Elpitiya, aged 57 years.
Police said any information could be passed on to the Special Crimes Division (Gampaha) on 077-3890959 or 077-0780071.
